Tour of Italy Bormio On May 28th 2019 the sixteenth stage of the Tour of Italy passes through Bormio and Valtellina, during the 102th edition of the Tour of Italy that will start on May 11th and will end on the 2nd June. On May 28, the 16th stage of the Giro d’Italia 2019 will pass through Bormio, starting from Lovere, Passo della Presolana (1297 m), Croce di Salven (1105 m), Edolo, Ponte di Legno and Gavia Pass (2618m), descent to Mazzo di Valtellina along Santa Caterina Valfurva, S. Antonio, Bormio, Valdisotto and Sondalo, ascent of the Mortirolo Pass (1854 m) and descent until the arrival at Ponte di Legno. A wonderful mountain stage, 226 km long with a vertical drop of 5,700 meters, with historic climbs immersed in natural alpine landscapes.
