At the bottom of the garden of Chalet Gardenia there is also a small vegetable garden cultivated with passion by the owners, to always have fresh vegetables and aromatic plants that are the richness of the mountain garden.

A passion, a pastime but also the rediscovery of ancient works and traditions that have practiced since ancient times the ancient borminis, the cultivation of vegetable gardens and broli. The alpine mountain climate allows a limited cultivation in time and in the varieties of vegetables, the main problem is the temperature excursion between day and night which determines a temperature instability such as to make the development of certain vegetables difficult.

But at the Chalet Gardenia we put a lot of care, only vegetables suitable for the alpine climate are planted such as: salads, celery, carrots, cabbage, leeks, green beans and courgettes, but the peculiarity of our garden is aromatic herbs such as: bay leaves, oregano, sage, rosemary, mint, dill, parsley, basil, thyme, marjoram. Every aromatic grass has its own characteristic and curative properties and flavor foods. The Chalet Gardenia garden is small but well maintained, enclosed by birch trunks, like the ancient vegetable gardens that were bordered by timber or stones.

A simple pastime , but that makes you stay in contact with nature, which relaxes you, which reminds you how those who preceded us lived
